OCCUPATION CERTIFICATE PROCESS :

    Step 1  

Final inspection carried out by Accredited Certifiers

  • We will be on your site within 48 hours to carry out the inspection
  
    Step 2  

Compliance Certificates submitted to Accredited Certifiers

  • We will advise your builder of any compliance requirements
  
    Step 3  

Occupation Certificate issued

  • We will issue the Occupation Certificate to you and the Council
  
    Step 4  

You can now move into your building

  • We will certify compliance with the Council and our recommendations
  
    Step 5  

Refund of any of your damage deposits from the Council

  • If you paid any damage deposits you can now request a refund

 

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED :

Fire Safety Certificate download
All commercial and industrial work requires a Fire Safety Certificate which must be signed by all owners of the building. It is completed when you have installed all your fire safety services by a qualified installer who should give you a certificate that the installation has been carried out to the Australian Standard. The Fire Safety Certificate must be with Accredited Certifiers before you occupy your building.
Compliance Certificate download
Download this form if your proposed work involves any structural, hydraulic, mechanical, civil, roadwork and driveways. It can also be used to confirm a development consent condition has been complied with. This compliance certificate will be required to confirm that the building works have been inspected and are to a suitable level of performance.
Occupation Certificate Application download

Download this form to apply for an Occupation Certificate. You need an Occupation Certificate when you want to move into your building.

This form is to be completed and signed and submitted to Accredited Certifiers when you want to occupy your building. Before this, Accredited Certifiers will need to do a final inspection to ensure the building has been built consistently with the approved plans, and all structural, hydraulic and fire safety measures have been addressed.
