PRINCIPAL CERTIFYING AUTHORITY PROCESS:

    Step 1  

  Notice of Commencement of building work signed by   owner

    Step 2  

  Home Owners Warranty Insurance or Owner Builder   Permit

  • Required if the building work is more than 12k(HOW) or 5k(OBP)
  
    Step 3  

  Submission of Notice to Commence buillding work to   the Council

  • We ensure we send this to the Council for you
  
    Step 4  

  Builder is permitted to start building work

  • The builder can start work 2 days after the start work form reaches the Council
  
    Step 5  

  Building Inspection

 

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED :

Notice of commencement to start building work This form must also be completed and signed by all owners. The notice of commencement to start building work is submitted to the Council before the commencement of building work. It tells the Council that you have nominated EBC instead of them to oversee your building project.

Principal Certifying Authority Service Agreement This form must also be completed and signed by all owners. It ensures roles and responsibilities are clear.

Builders Agreement This form must also be completed and signed by the builder. It ensures roles and responsibilities are clear.
